**About the Role:**
A highly rewarding opportunity to join the Schools Unit at Box Hill Institute, providing high-quality teaching delivery and innovative course materials to VCE students.
The role involves ensuring student success in Sociology, thereby improving their employment and/or educational pathways. The Teacher – VCE also ensures compliance with relevant requirements.
This position reports to the Manager Schools Unit and is responsible for liaising with students, industry groups, community services providers, and employees at all levels.
The Schools Unit at Box Hill Institute is unique due to its diversity of students, stakeholders, delivery methods, and broad business function.
As a key member of this unit, you will be responsible for the delivery and compliance of senior secondary educational certificates, including the VCE at our CBD campus.
The Schools Unit has taken a leading role in introducing the VCE Vocational Major and Victorian Pathways Certificate, aiming to become a 'centre of excellence' that integrates with the Institute's broader strategic operations plans.
Our courses provide pathways into further education and employment, enhancing life and employability skills.
We offer full-time, part-time, on-campus, blended, work-based, and online delivery options to suit students and industry partners.
This role will allow you to make a significant impact on students' lives, helping them achieve their goals.
**About You:**
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- a relevant tertiary qualification in Education
- experience teaching Senior Secondary Programs in the VCE and VCE VM
- current VIT Registration
- demonstrated ability to design and deliver logical, succinct, up-to-date, and engaging course materials and lessons
- proficiency in using learning management systems (e.g., Moodle) to create innovative learning experiences
- ability to develop complex documents that comply with quality standards
- experience with student management systems for attendance tracking and retrieval of student details
- high level awareness of diverse backgrounds and emotional contexts
- appreciation of administrative requirements for vocation education and training
- understanding of OH&S, equity, and equal opportunities legislation

**Salary:** $90,000 - $110,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
