The Role

You will lead and optimize inventory strategies across a dynamic region. Based in Western Australia, you will drive operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and strategic alignment across our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a regional inventory strategy that enhances stock optimization and overall performance.
  • Provide thought leadership and foster alignment with strategic, operational, financial, and customer-centric outcomes across state branches and centres.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing multi-disciplinary team, ensuring collaboration and the adoption of best-in-class processes and techniques.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve logistical challenges.
  • Drive continuous improvement in state inventory practices to enhance our competitive edge.
  • Monitor and report on inventory performance, including KPI tracking, turnover, stock accuracy, and cost management.
  • Champion safety by embedding a Zero Harm culture and ensuring compliance with WHSE standards.

Your Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in inventory management or a related field.
  • Proven leadership skills, including building high-performing teams, recruitment, coaching, and performance management.
  • Strategic thinking to formulate strategies that drive commercial value and supplier efficiency.
  • Familiarity with state-specific regulations, supplier networks, and logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean methodologies (e.g., 5S) and a history of driving continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and warehouse management software for forecasting and trend identification.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • A collaborative mindset to work cross-functionally and ensure seamless supply chain operations.
