The Role
You will lead and optimize inventory strategies across a dynamic region. Based in Western Australia, you will drive operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and strategic alignment across our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a regional inventory strategy that enhances stock optimization and overall performance.
- Provide thought leadership and foster alignment with strategic, operational, financial, and customer-centric outcomes across state branches and centres.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing multi-disciplinary team, ensuring collaboration and the adoption of best-in-class processes and techniques.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve logistical challenges.
- Drive continuous improvement in state inventory practices to enhance our competitive edge.
- Monitor and report on inventory performance, including KPI tracking, turnover, stock accuracy, and cost management.
- Champion safety by embedding a Zero Harm culture and ensuring compliance with WHSE standards.
Your Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in inventory management or a related field.
- Proven leadership skills, including building high-performing teams, recruitment, coaching, and performance management.
- Strategic thinking to formulate strategies that drive commercial value and supplier efficiency.
- Familiarity with state-specific regulations, supplier networks, and logistics.
- Strong knowledge of Lean methodologies (e.g., 5S) and a history of driving continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in data analysis and warehouse management software for forecasting and trend identification.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- A collaborative mindset to work cross-functionally and ensure seamless supply chain operations.
