Job Title

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our team.

The primary focus of this position is to provide high-quality data governance services, including data discovery, data cataloging, and data integration.

This role requires a seasoned technical professional with expertise in data management, data analytics, and cloud computing.

The successful candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, be thorough while being efficient, and contribute to team efforts through collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and deliver complex data governance projects for customers using various data management tools and technologies.
  • Solve database, integration, and analytics problems either alone or in a team, prioritizing tasks to meet critical deadlines.
  • Implement solutions to utilize Actian products to support customer needs and goals, maintaining current skills related to the use of Actian products and standard industry tools.
  • Work with customers and internal teams executing project planning and management processes, design, and design review efforts, and testing activities.
  • Install, configure, test, and troubleshoot computer software, hardware, or network systems or applications necessary to reproduce or analyze the customer's environment or problems.
Requirements
  • Experience/Knowledge with Data Discovery and Data Catalog tools such as Zeenea, Collibra, Alation or others.
  • Knowledge of Integration tools, such as Informatica, Boomi, Talend, DataConnect, DataFlow or IBM Datastage/Tranformation Extender.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one database server such as Ingres, Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL or Informix.
  • Knowledge of Business Analytics applications (Tableau, PowerBI), support, and troubleshooting concepts.
  • Proficient in the design and development of applications that use databases.
