We are seeking a skilled Support Worker to join our team in Safety Bay and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will provide tailored person-centered services and activities to support seniors and NDIS customers to remain in their homes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide domestic assistance services to customers
- Work alongside customers with varying support needs to provide tailored services and activities
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers, their families, carers, community agencies, and other professionals
- Ensure the safety and well-being of customers and staff
- Certificate III Individual Support - Aged Care or Disability, or other relevant qualification
- Experience working with seniors, people on the mental health recovery journey, and those living with disability
- Great communication skills and ability to interact with a diverse range of customers
- Enthusiastic and engaging with customers
- Understanding of professional boundaries and privacy and confidentiality issues
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good written communication, computer, and mobile device skills
- A proactive approach to safety and well-being
- Current Australian Drivers Licence with no restrictions
- Reliable and roadworthy motor vehicle to travel to customers' homes and assist them to access the community
- Comprehensive motor vehicle insurance and registration
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to apply for one prior to commencing employment)
- Current First Aid Certificate with 12 months or less currency (or willingness to apply)
