Job Overview

We are seeking a Legal Officer to join our team.

As a Legal Officer, you will work closely with our Chief Compliance Officer and collaborate with team members across various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice for company operations, including reviewing, preparing and amending relevant legal documentation.
  • Contract Management: Review and manage contracts with third parties to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Monitor contract execution to ensure adherence to terms and conditions.
  • Analyze changes in financial regulations and corporate laws, advising management on their potential impact on the company's operations.
  • Work closely with the Chief Compliance Officer to address regulatory inquiries and ensure timely submission of regulatory reports.
  • Provide legal support for licensing applications, renewals, and other interactions with financial regulatory bodies.
  • Act as the key point of contact for legal matters across departments.
  • Liaise with external legal counsel, regulators, and other stakeholders to obtain and provide information relevant to the company's operations.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field is required, with an advanced degree being a plus.
  • A solid background in financial services or legal practice is crucial.
  • Expertise in Corporations law and financial regulations is a must.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional communication, drafting, and report-writing abilities are essential.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams are important.
  • Must be organized, attentive to details, and capable of juggling multiple priorities.
