We are seeking an experienced Events Manager to join our team. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for designing and executing engaging programs that foster wellbeing, community, and connection.

You will play a central role in shaping vibrant communities where students thrive. Your primary focus will be on creating inclusive social, wellness, and educational events that reflect resident interests and build community.

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Conceptualization and Execution: Design and deliver high-quality events that align with our brand and business objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Provide day-to-day oversight of casual team members, including rostering, training, supervising, and tracking performance.
  • Community Engagement: Support resident wellbeing through proactive engagement, incident follow-up, and partnerships with local/university support services.
  • Vendor Engagement: Build relationships with vendors, contractors, and local businesses to enhance resident life and deliver value-added initiatives.
  • Operations and Compliance: Manage event budgets, ensure compliance with policies and WHS standards, and capture reporting on attendance, satisfaction, and outcomes.
  • Marketing and Outreach: Collaborate with internal teams to promote events across digital and onsite channels, ensuring alignment with marketing and leasing objectives.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A proven track record in event management, hospitality, or community engagement.
  • Previous experience in leading or supervising casual/part-time teams.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable working flexibly, including some evenings or weekends for event delivery.
  • Eligibility for a National Criminal History Check and Working with Children Check.
