Research Fellow Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Fellow to contribute to our cutting-edge project. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing research outcomes and advancing knowledge in the field.

About the Project

This project is a collaborative effort between UNSW Canberra and ANU, funded by the Australian Research Council. The goal is to explore low-dimensional low-energy ferroelectricity for future technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct research and support the creation of scholarly outputs recognized by peers.
  2. Undertake specific research projects under the guidance of a research leader.
  3. Support dissemination of research results through appropriate channels.
  4. Engage in discipline-appropriate research activities such as surveys, literature reviews, data collection, and analysis.
  5. Participate in and/or present at relevant conferences and workshops.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • PhD in chemistry, physics, materials science, or a related discipline, or relevant work experience.
  • Expertise in density functional theory modelling of materials.
  • Commitment to staying updated with discipline knowledge.
  • Ability to undertake high-quality, independent academic research.
  • Proven record of publications and conference presentations.
  • Ability to collaborate across disciplines and build effective relationships.
  • Strong communication skills with diverse stakeholders and students.
