About the Role

Clinical Nurse Specialists play a vital role in providing developmentally appropriate treatment to young people and their families.

We are seeking experienced Clinical Nurse Specialists with expertise in complex case management, assessment, counselling and/or therapy, particularly within mental health or relevant/related sectors.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Deliver clinical services through the provision of complex case management, assessment, and individual therapies, including the development and implementation of specialised treatment programs.
  2. Work closely with innovative team leaders and consultant psychiatrists to develop new youth mental health services in Tasmania.
  3. Lead and collaborate with diverse clinicians as part of the collaborative multidisciplinary team, providing support and consultation to other team members as required.
Key Requirements
  • Be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse and possess specialist tertiary graduate or post graduate mental health/psychiatric nursing qualification.
  • Satisfy completion of an appropriate allied health professional course of study at a recognised tertiary institution and registered with the relevant Board or, in the case of unregulated professions, eligible for membership of the relevant professional association.
  • Hold current Working with Children Registration and registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role.

Desirable criteria include post graduate experience in mental health in relation to CAMHSA minimum of 3 years and current Driver's Licence.
