
Tasmanian Child Health Nurse Specialist

This role is part of a multidisciplinary team providing high-quality care to families with children under 5 in the North West region of Tasmania.
The team supports families as they transition into parenthood, enhancing parental confidence and capacity, and providing information and services focused on building strong relationships between children and parents/caregivers.
- Nursing Care: assess, plan, implement and evaluate healthcare in collaboration with individuals/groups, families and communities.
- Teamwork: effectively interact with clients' families and other professionals to facilitate optimum child-centred healthcare.
- Quality Improvement: actively participate in maintaining and continually improving patient/client care through research and evidence-based practice.
- Lifelong Learning: identify and meet client goals in partnership with clients and their families/significant others.
The successful applicant will have current knowledge of nursing principles, procedures and practices in child and family health nursing, as well as sound interpersonal and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate healthcare for clients in collaboration with individuals/groups, families and communities.
- Effectively interact with clients' families and other professionals to provide optimal child-centred healthcare.
- Maintain and continually improve the quality of patient/client care through active participation in research and evidence-based practice.

This role requires a Registered Nurse with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and services to families in the North West region of Tasmania.
