We are seeking a candidate to join our Public Sector claims team in the role of Claims Specialist.
This hybrid position will be based in our Sydney office and requires working at least three days a week in the office.
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a portfolio of general insurance claims for Local Government clients with a focus on liability claims, managing end-to-end processes, conducting accurate reserving, claims investigation, managing claims costs, and negotiating with various third parties.
A key responsibility of this role is building and maintaining rapport with clients, analyzing entitlements of cover to clients, dealing with external reinsurers, and fostering relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
To succeed in this role, you will need 7+ years of general insurance claims experience, good written and oral communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure and work flexibly when required.
A relevant tertiary qualification and previous client-facing experience would be highly regarded.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of general insurance claims
- Conducting accurate reserving and claims investigation
- Negotiating with third parties
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders
