About the Job:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to support our HR and payroll operations.

The successful candidate will assist in delivering accurate and timely payroll services while contributing to broader HR initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on precision, enjoys problem-solving, and values continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll with accuracy and within agreed timeframes.
  • Perform payroll checks and maintain personnel records in line with relevant legislation and policies.
  • Provide scheduled and ad-hoc payroll reporting.
  • Respond to payroll queries from employees and managers with clarity and professionalism.
  • Ensure compliance with industrial instruments, legislation, and internal policies.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of payroll processes.
  • Assist in managing administrative tasks.
  • General Support:
    • Provide administrative assistance across HR functions.
    • Contribute to the development and review of HR policies and procedures.
    • Conduct research into HR matters and assist with projects.

Required Skills:

  • Experience using a Human Resources Information System (HRMIS) for payroll processing.
  • Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation, awards, agreements, and policies.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience using Aurion HRMIS for payroll functions.
