Search Architect

We're looking for an experienced Search Architect to join our Ask team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of search technologies, including Elasticsearch, Solr, and vector databases.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced search systems, including scalable indexing pipelines, query understanding systems, and relevance tuning mechanisms.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.
  • Design and implement search architectures that are scalable, efficient, and highly relevant.
  • Develop and maintain complex search features, including indexing pipelines and query understanding systems.
  • Optimize search performance and relevance through data analysis and experimentation.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in search technology, including design, implementation, and optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of information retrieval fundamentals, query optimization, and relevance tuning.
  • Experience with AI augmentation of search is highly valuable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
