Chief Information Governance Specialist

This critical role plays a vital part in ensuring the effective and secure management of information across various sectors. The Senior Information Manager is responsible for leading the development and implementation of an organization's information strategy, aligning with best-practice standards and business needs.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain a comprehensive information strategy and roadmap to ensure efficient storage, access, sharing, and disposal of records.
- Manage and maintain robust information management systems, policies, and processes, including the Information Asset Register, to assess information value and mitigate risks.
- Establish and communicate standards for data classification and taxonomies to ensure consistent and effective information retrieval.
- Identify opportunities for system enhancements and lead the development of strategies to improve information system performance.
- Plan and execute data collection activities across various systems, ensuring compliance with business, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Candidates should hold tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Information Management, or a related field.
- They must have hands-on experience with records/content management systems and information retrieval.
- A strategic mindset and technical expertise are necessary to drive improvements in information governance.
