We are seeking a highly skilled Climate Knowledge Broker to join our team at the University of Tasmania. As a key member of our project team, you will play a critical role in enhancing and improving the accessibility and applicability of future climate hazard information.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the research project, including preparing a project plan, scheduling project meetings, and liaising with stakeholders.
- Coordinate and manage stakeholder engagement, including facilitating workshops and delivering outputs.
- Liaise with climate scientists to deliver curated climate information and coordinate complex reporting and strategic communications.
- Experience in knowledge brokering, stakeholder engagement, and project management.
- A highly developed understanding of climate change science, climate responsive decision-making, and adaptation action.
- An awareness of local, state, and federal government governance, policy-making, and decision-making.
- Extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, communication, and network building.
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 7, with a total remuneration package of up to $126,637, comprising base salary and superannuation.
