Job Title: Senior NRM Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior NRM Advisor to join our team in regional NSW. As a key member of our NRM team, you will play a critical role in identifying and managing priority landscapes and threatened species projects and programs throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with landholders to lead and deliver on-ground priority projects, as well as work with the broader NRM team to identify new project opportunities
  • Provide leadership and support to small project teams
  • Manage major natural resource management and agricultural productivity projects
  • Negotiate and resolve complex natural resource management and agricultural productivity issues
  • Implement land management legislation and assess related applications
  • Deliver emergency planning, preparedness, response, and recovery services
  • Develop major partnerships and collaborations
  • Monitor, evaluate, report, and improve programs and projects, and contribute to strategic planning
Requirements:
  • A degree in agriculture, environmental science, natural resource management, biosecurity, or emergency management, or an equivalent level of industry knowledge and experience
  • A passion for natural resource management
  • The ability to work closely with and understand the needs of both landowners and community groups
  • Knowledge of landscapes and threatened species
  • Demonstrated project management experience combined with proven relationship management and partnership development
