Job Overview

This is a key member role in the engineering team, responsible for ensuring high-quality projects are delivered to clients.

The successful candidate will support directors and engineering managers, lead significant projects, and learn from industry leaders.

The ideal candidate will have experience in HV earthing, analysis and site testing, with a strong proficiency in CDEGS software.

They will also possess Australian-recognised qualifications in electrical engineering, CPEng certification, and the right to work in Australia.

As a principal electrical engineer, you will be working on diverse large-scale infrastructure projects across Australasia, collaborating with Tier 1 contractors and asset owners.

You will also have opportunities for professional development, training budget, and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Lead projects from scoping to delivery.
  • Manage quality, budget, and schedule targets.
  • Prepare/review/approve designs & technical documents.
  • Provide expert input in HV earthing system analysis & reporting (power systems desirable).
  • Oversee HV earthing testing (soil resistivity, fall of potential, current injection).
  • Use CDEGS (PTW/ETAP desirable).
  • Coordinate project teams to meet deadlines & standards.
  • Mentor junior engineers (technical + commercial).
  • Manage budgets, forecasting & risks.
  • Contribute to business improvement & CPD (training budget + 4 CPD days/yr).
