The Opportunity

Ventia's NSW Motorways and Tunnels Project is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to support the early stages of project development. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract opportunity that offers a unique chance to work with a leading business in the infrastructure sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule project activities to align with client timelines and ensure effective delivery
  • Liaise with vendors and participate in planning activities to facilitate successful project outcomes
  • Monitor and control project costs to ensure they are carried out within budget requirements
  • Contribute to regular and reliable forecasting of project costs and provide operational updates
  • Support assurance activities, including risk, quality, compliance, safety, and value for money, in collaboration with the M&T assurance team
  • Assist in the transition to a network-based model

Requirements

  • Hold a degree or other professional qualifications in Civil Engineering
  • Previous experience in road maintenance activities
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship management skills
  • Experience in vendor management and customer-centric mindset
  • Ability to report to internal management and clients using agreed formats and templates
