Investigator Role
The Investigator plays a crucial role in the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing. Reporting to the Senior Investigation Officer, this position involves investigating complaints and notifications about Victorian disability workers in accordance with the Disability Service Safeguards Act 2018 (Vic). This includes gathering information, preparing investigation reports, findings, and documents for senior staff, which may be relied upon in court proceedings.
Effective complaint and investigation processes are essential to supporting the Victorian Disability Worker Commissioner and the Disability Worker Registration Board of Victoria in executing their legislated functions and powers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct impartial investigations
- Provide sound reports and findings
- Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Write comprehensive case management notes and third-party statements
About You:
- An experienced investigator with professional knowledge of investigation procedures
- Able to build and maintain effective relationships with various stakeholders
- Proficient in writing and recording detailed case management notes and statements
Requirements:
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
- Valid work permit or visa
