Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a visionary academic leader to lead our School of Nursing. As a key member of the leadership team, you will contribute significantly to the future direction of our faculty.

The successful candidate will be a positive, encouraging and culturally capable leader who champions inclusivity and diversity, and is committed to creativity and innovation.

You will have a strong record of academic achievement, staff management experience, and a proven track record leading research initiatives and securing grant funding.

You will also have significant external engagement experience with government, community and industry partnerships, as well as a champion for equity and capability to lead and support the school on its journey.

About the Role:

  • Contribute to strategic and financial planning through collaborative leadership
  • Champion equity and social responsibility commitments
  • Ensure effective delivery of faculty-wide goals
  • Lead and manage the School of Nursing, ensuring operational excellence and a cohesive environment
  • Oversee academic and capital planning for clinical placements
  • Cultivate strong partnerships with external stakeholders to amplify the school's presence and influence
  • Drive growth of international and postgraduate student enrolments
  • Navigate complexities associated with increasing clinical placements for postgraduate students
  • Support the development of new simulation facilities for nursing education
  • Support the vibrant research environment, driving research growth and innovation

  • A record of academic achievement suitable for appointment as a professor or associate professor
  • A registered nurse (or eligible for registration as a nurse)

  • Significant track record leading research initiatives and securing grant funding
  • Successful external engagement experience with government, community and industry partnerships
