Job Role:

This position plays a pivotal part in upholding and delivering ship maintenance schedules that support Defence capability. You will assist in delivering ship maintenance schedules that are crucial to Australia's Defence capability, collaborating closely with diverse stakeholders to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and managing service delivery schedules, including integrated maintenance programs and Ship Maintenance Availability schedules
  • Leading planning activities such as the Target Budget Estimate (TBE) process
  • Updating schedules and tracking progress against Contract Deliverables (CDRLs)
  • Liaising and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and delivery
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across scheduling and support services
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Supply, Governance, and Operations
  • Ensuring compliance with Defence statutory requirements and company standards
  • Contributing to reporting and analysis to support decision-making
  • Promoting a strong safety culture and secure work environment
  • Assisting in maintaining key client relationships through timely and quality schedule delivery
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Scheduler in either an Australian Defence or commercial environment
  • Strong proficiency in scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera and Open Plan Professional (OPP), with expertise in schedule reporting
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Hold (or be eligible to obtain) an AGSVA Baseline security clearance
