Business IT Leader

We are seeking an experienced Business IT leader to join our team. As a key member of our corporate services senior leadership team, you will be responsible for driving divisional performance and contributing to our strategic vision.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the digital future of Queensland's critical energy infrastructure. You will lead a large, diverse team of highly skilled technical professionals to deliver secure, innovative, and future-ready technology solutions that support our operations and meet the evolving needs of our customers.

In this role, you will set the strategic direction for our business IT and digital platforms, driving transformation through a comprehensive program of work focused on cyber security, service excellence, and commercial outcomes. You will provide regular briefings to the Executive team and Board on critical IT and digital matters, while building strong, collaborative partnerships with internal stakeholders, including our OT functions and external vendors to support major projects and ensure seamless service delivery.

As a visionary and inclusive leader, you will foster a culture of collaboration and excellence, inspiring your team to achieve meaningful outcomes. You will harness internal capabilities, contractor partnerships, and supplier relationships to optimise performance and drive efficiencies. About You

To be successful, you will bring a degree in Business, Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline, coupled with significant experience in leading enterprise-wide Business IT functions within a complex, 24/7 operational environment. You will be a strategic thinker with a proven ability to translate vision into action, developing and executing IT investment roadmaps that align with organisational priorities.

You will have a strong track record of guiding and developing technical experts to deliver high-quality services, drive innovation and lead meaningful change. Your commercial and financial acumen will enable you to manage large-scale programs and deliver outcomes that balance performance, value and sustainability.
