Transforming the Energy Sector with Innovative Solutions

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge technology that will shape Australia's energy future.

The successful candidate will work on the Market Analysis to Network Analysis (MANA) platform, a web-based system that integrates market and power system analysis. Key responsibilities include developing robust back-end infrastructure in Python, building intuitive graphical user interfaces using Vue.js, updating existing tool code to enterprise standards, and collaborating with Power System Engineers to implement new functions and ensure compatibility.

About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a leading-edge project that will help Australia achieve net zero emissions by 2050. You will be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing data management systems to support power system analysis tools.
  • Developing automation scripts to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Builtuing user-friendly GUIs to facilitate interaction with the MANA platform.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to document processes and maintain the platform.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong programming skills, with a preference for Python.
  • Experience in data management, automation, and GUI development (Vue.js desirable).
  • Familiarity with power system modelling tools desirable (e.g. PSSE, PSCAD, SCADA/EMS).
  • Knowledge of version control (Git), test-driven development, and domain modelling.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
