Resident Maintenance Technician

The Resident Maintenance Technician is a key role within our client's team, responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of their site. This involves performing planned, unplanned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance, as well as inspections of automation equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and execute electrical and mechanical planned preventative maintenance of automation equipment.
Perform daily system audits to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
Conduct electrical and mechanical breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
Inspect and replace hard-wired gear motors and power supplies as needed.
Undertake electrical and mechanical repairs and component replacements to maintain equipment efficiency.
Generate reports for internal and external stakeholders within agreed timelines to ensure transparency and accountability.
Compile monthly management reports for internal and external distribution to provide insights into site performance.
Manage on-site spare parts, including regular stock-taking and ordering as per company procedures to ensure availability and minimize waste.
Engage in continuous improvement activities to optimize systems, collaborating closely with team members and other departments to drive innovation and efficiency.
Complete breakdown reports, shift logs, and issue logs in accordance with internal protocols to maintain accurate records and facilitate issue resolution.
Ensure the site workshop is well-maintained, presentable, and clean to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
Adhere to Australian, as well as internal and external OH&S regulations to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
Comply with company policies and procedures to maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity.
Participate in local, interstate, and overseas training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned to support the team and achieve business objectives.
Requirements:
Trade qualification in electrical/mechanical disciplines essential.
Full Australian working rights required.
Recognized mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent relevant experience can be considered.
Hold valid driver's license D-Licence beneficial (Disconnect / Re-connect License).
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel and Outlook) required.
Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with programmable logic controls (PLCs), experience with automated equipment, proficiency in German language desirable.
Pre employment medical, D&A and police check to be completed for employment.
