About the Role


This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced team as a Community Engagement Specialist, working on some of the Hunter Region's most interesting and innovative projects.


You will be responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies, creating engaging materials, and managing community relationships. Your key responsibilities will include:



  • Developing communications plans to support projects and business cases
  • Contributing to a team to deliver innovative and engaging communications content
  • Building trust and collaborating with stakeholders to drive improvement and change

About You


To succeed in this role, you will need:



  • Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills
  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, preferably within the government or construction sector
  • IAP2 certification (desirable)
  • The ability to multitask and manage others to achieve outcomes
  • Digital awareness and social media experience
