About Us:
We are a multi-national company with sustained growth across Property Development, Civil Works, Plant Hire, Construction Materials, Electrical and Under Ground Mining & Tunnelling. Our continued growth is driven by a substantial delivery pipeline of projects and investment strategies in infrastructure.
Salary Information:
The estimated annual salary for this role is $85,000 to $110,000, depending on experience. The location for this position is Newcastle, Sydney or Dubbo.
Job Description:
This role will perform accounting and financial functions, including compiling financial information for monthly reports, forecasting and continuous disclosure. You will assist the Senior Accountant in providing financial support to our business units and their managers.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing Monthly Reporting and Annual Tax Reports
- Lodge Monthly Sales and Gross Margin Analysis
- Process accruals and General Journals
- Prepare tailored Monthly Financial Reports and reviews
- Develop weekly Cashflow Forecast
- Participate in Group Financial Reporting programs as prescribed by MGH CFO
- Respond to Audit inquiries
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting and CPA/CA (or working towards)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar financial role
- Experience with ERP systems and MS Office
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to think laterally and demonstrate initiative
- Attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Advanced Excel skills and high organisational ability
- Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel occasionally
