Cloud Native Platform Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Native Platform Engineer to help design and implement the next generation of our cloud-native data and application platform.

The Role
  • Design and build secure, scalable infrastructure to power millions of end users.
  • Take a lead role across AWS, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring (CloudWatch, DataDog, OpenTelemetry).
  • Partner with data and engineering teams to enable Databricks lakehouse capabilities (Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, multi-tenant architecture).
  • Be a 2iC to the Head of Platform & Infrastructure, mentoring mid-level engineers and helping shape team practices.
  • 5–7+ years platform/DevOps/infra experience, ideally in cloud-native product environments.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS + Terraform (must-haves).
  • Strong CI/CD and automation background.
  • Exposure to Databricks (or similar: Snowflake, Spark, ML platforms).
  • Engineering background, with the ability to influence design and mentor others.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain secure infrastructure to support large-scale applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Develop and implement automated testing and deployment processes.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth of the team.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in cloud-native infrastructure design and implementation.
  • Expertise in AWS services, including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and DynamoDB.
  • Proficiency in Terraform, Kubernetes, and containerization technologies.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements.
