Senior Energy Storage Project Manager

As a Group Manager Grid Connections, you will lead the grid connection activities across Australia, managing complex transmission and distribution network integrations for utility-scale battery energy storage systems.
This is a senior leadership role that combines technical expertise with strategic vision, working at the intersection of cutting-edge energy storage technology and Australia's evolving electricity infrastructure.
You will be responsible for managing grid connection processes from initial feasibility through to commissioning, ensuring seamless integration of our energy storage assets with Australian transmission and distribution networks.
This role requires deep understanding of Australian electricity market operations, regulatory frameworks, and network technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive grid connection strategies aligned with our Australian market expansion.
- Technical Excellence: Oversee grid connection studies, network impact assessments, and system integration analysis for large-scale battery projects.
- Commercial Management: Manage grid connection budgets, timelines, and commercial agreements across multiple concurrent projects.
- Minimum 10+ years in senior roles within Australian electricity industry, with specific grid connection expertise.
- Proven track record managing large-scale renewable energy or storage project connections (50MW+ projects).
- Deep understanding of National Electricity Rules, AEMO procedures, and network technical standards.
