Job Summary:

Our organisation seeks an accomplished project manager to lead the development and delivery of energy storage projects. With a focus on renewable energy sources and grid stability, this role offers a unique blend of technical expertise, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions.

This position requires strong collaboration, organisational, and influencing abilities, as well as outstanding analytical skills and business acumen. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, contractors, and partners to achieve minimum time, quality, and financial performance targets while maintaining customer satisfaction.

  • Manage battery energy storage projects from inception through completion, ensuring seamless coordination among functional groups.
  • Develop and implement effective project plans, working collaboratively with internal engineering, procurement, manufacturing, testing, installation, commissioning, and business administration teams.
  • Build long-term relationships with design and construct partners, equipment providers, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide guidance and oversight in project planning, leveraging your experience in high-performance team management within a global matrixed organisation.
  • Lead business improvement initiatives, documenting and communicating initial project plans and any changes to ensure timely execution.
  • Drive projects to meet or exceed minimum performance targets while enhancing customer satisfaction and project team engagement.
  • Facilitate smooth handovers of completed projects to our service organisation, ensuring continuity and excellence.
  • Minimum 15+ years of relevant experience in energy sector engineering and/or battery storage related field.
  • 10+ years of experience as a project manager with profit and loss responsibility.
  • Degree in Engineering or another closely related discipline is required.
  • Exceptional leadership, collaboration, organisational, and influencing skills.
  • Outstanding analytical skills and business acumen.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrable ability to thrive in a multicultural environment, travel, and work under pressure with conflicting demands on time.
  • Project Management qualification or certification.
  • Familiarity with environmental and safety regulations in the energy sector.
  • Market-specific and/or domain-specific (energy storage) project delivery experience is desirable.
