Seek a talented Procurement Specialist to join our client contact, the Manager of Category Management. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking council renowned for its strong commitment to sustainable procurement.

The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic, values-driven organization that makes a real impact on the community. The team operates within a collaborative and strategic culture, led by an exceptional CPO.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure value for money across diverse projects, including high-value and community-beneficial initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, State Government guidelines, and council policies and procedures for tendering and contract activities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage competing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Operate within a matrix organization compliant with legislation and competitive practices.
  • Support process improvements and develop Strategic Category Management Plans.
  • Drive behavioral change and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Background:
  • A relevant degree or tertiary qualification.
  • Experience in a busy procurement team within a complex organization.
  • Resilience and ability to manage multiple stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Enjoyment of multi-tasking and roles with variety, where no two days or projects are the same.
