Job Overview

The Key Role of a Support Worker involves contributing to the delivery of a high-quality catering service. This role works closely with the Chef/Cook to prepare daily meals and beverages that cater to individual needs, including special dietary requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing daily meals and beverages under the direction of the Chef/Cook
  • Collaborating with the care team to ensure familiarity with menus and resident preferences
  • Executing cleaning tasks in accordance with the cleaning schedule
  • Documenting resident requirements and any exceptional changes that occur during a shift

About You:

  • Demonstrated experience in food preparation and food safety is essential
  • Food Handling Certificate (HLTFSE001 - Follow Basic Food Safety Practices) is desirable
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills are necessary for success
  • Able to prioritize workloads and commit to continuous quality improvement
