Job Title: Store Person / Supervisor

This role is a full-time position and reports directly to the state sales manager.

The main responsibilities include ensuring all orders are picked, packed and dispatched within the expected timeframe. Additionally, receipts of all deliveries into the warehouse are checked for correct quantities and any damages.

  • Ensuring the warehouse is kept clean and tidy with aisles clear of obstacles.
  • Ensuring all waste material is removed from the sample area.
  • Placing all stock into correct locations within the warehouse, within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Ensuring the trade counter is kept clean and tidy.
  • Ensuring all shelves are fully stocked at all times.
  • Delivering customer orders in a timely manner.

Sales responsibilities include fostering good workplace relationships with all customers. Ensuring invoicing and credit policies are adhered to, as well as completing invoicing daily.

  • Ensuring banking is done on a timely basis and according to company procedure.
  • Assisting customers via a proactive approach to satisfy their needs and generate add-on sales.
  • Notifying relevant sales representatives of sample receipts.
  • Assisting representatives with customer-related enquiries.
  • Notifying representatives of customer back orders.

Operations responsibilities include opening and locking up premises at designated days and times. Maintaining the premises in a suitable and clean condition, as well as following appropriate procedures in accordance with corporate guidelines.

  • Ensuring occupational health and safety regulations are being followed.
  • Ensuring the branch is appropriately stocked to meet customer requirements.
  • Assisting the operations manager with annual stock takes.
  • Reviewing obsolete and slow-moving stock.
  • Ensuring point of sale and promotional material is suitable and displayed.
  • Keying branch transfers and returns of merchandise.
  • Maintaining and servicing company equipment.
