
Surgical Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Nurse to join our surgical team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in accordance with legislative requirements.
Your duties will include delivering evidence-based nursing care, liaising with the multidisciplinary team, ensuring patient and staff safety, supervising and directing junior nurses, and completing all required documentation.
You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible outcome. Your expertise and experience will be invaluable in this role.

Qualifications and Requirements- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Current valid Australian Work rights
- Demonstrated experience working within an acute surgical setting
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of quality improvement initiatives using research principles to support evidence-based practice
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a supportive team environment
- Demonstrated ability to advocate for and implement individualized patient-centered care
- Demonstrated professional manner when dealing with complex situations
- Advanced communication skills as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility to work across multiple shifts, including night duty
