As a key player in the engineering solutions industry, we are seeking an experienced Business Growth Manager to join our dynamic Sales and Engineering Team.

Job Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities in key industry sectors, including mining and quarrying. This role requires building and maintaining strong professional relationships with procurement, engineering, and maintenance teams.

A key focus of this position is leading the consultative sales process, preparing sales quotations, and contributing to tenders. Additionally, the Business Growth Manager will actively engage in industry events and networking opportunities to drive business growth.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills – written, spoken, and presentation – as well as proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or relevant commercial experience in the engineering sector is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • New Business Development:
    • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities in key industry sectors, including mining and quarrying.
  • Relationship Building:
    • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with procurement, engineering, and maintenance teams.
  • Sales Process:
    • Lead the consultative sales process, prepare sales quotations, and contribute to tenders.
  • Industry Engagement:
    • Actively engage in industry events and networking opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or relevant commercial experience in the engineering sector.
  • Minimum 12 months of experience in engineering solutions-based business development with a proven sales track record.
  • Excellent communication skills – written, spoken, and presentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet business development deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

This role involves extensive travel to maintain and develop key client relationships.
