About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team at Hampstead Centre. In this exciting opportunity, you will lead the delivery of innovative, patient-centred care for individuals with complex needs, empowering patients to achieve their highest level of independence and wellbeing.
About the Team
Our team is committed to creating a centre of excellence in caring for older persons. We are launching a new program, "CO-ACT" (Care of the Older Person and Community Transition), focused on providing exceptional care for older adults transitioning from acute to ongoing care. As a member of our CO-ACT team, you will work in a supportive, family-like environment where collaboration is key, and your input on improving systems and practices is highly valued.
About the Opportunity
In this dynamic leadership role, you will oversee the coordination and management of our Occupational Therapy services, guiding your team to deliver excellence in clinical care. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of health services by contributing to key committees and working groups, driving forward new models of care and strategic initiatives across CALHN and SA Health.
About You
We are seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist who brings a wealth of experience and professionalism to this role. You will demonstrate:
- Strong clinical expertise in managing complex neurological conditions, including acquired brain injuries, with the ability to deliver patient-centred, evidence-based care and make sound clinical decisions independently.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to foster effective collaboration across diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of clinical practice, with a solid understanding of the needs of individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and those with disabilities.
- Proven experience in supervising staff, leading projects, and applying legislative requirements such as the Work Health Safety Act 2012, alongside a focus on continuous improvement in clinical services.
