Job Title: Senior Payroll Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to join our team at Navitas. As a Senior Payroll Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Operations: Work closely with the Payroll Operations Manager to ensure seamless payroll operations and address emerging issues promptly.
  • Legislative Compliance: Interpret payroll-related federal and state legislation, Enterprise Agreements and Awards.
  • Internal Audits: Conduct thorough internal payroll audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Process Improvement: Review and document current processes and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislative, regulatory, and statutory requirements for all payroll-related company obligations.
  • Technical Support: Provide iChris technical support and use your system expertise to maximize iChris functionality and payroll processes.
  • Reconciliations: Assist in payroll-related reconciliations for the general ledger and clearing accounts, as needed.
  • Team Support: Provide support, training, and guidance to the payroll team, offering advice in resolving complex payroll issues.
  • HR Support: Advise HR on payroll-related matters.
  • Backpays: Accurately calculate backpays and ensure timely processing.
  • Project Management: Partner in and lead payroll-related projects.

Requirements:

  • Payroll Knowledge: A detail-orientated approach and a passion for payroll and process improvement.
  • Comprehensive Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of payroll processes and best practice.
  • Legislative Knowledge: In-depth understanding of federal and state payroll-related legislation and regulations.
  • Interpretation Skills: Experience interpreting Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
  • Audit Experience: Experience conducting internal payroll audits.
  • Technical Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to accurately process complex payroll calculations, including backpays, reconciliations, and adjustments.
  • iChris Expertise: Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyze data.
  • Communication Skills: Professional communication skills and the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
