At HR Partners, we are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Manager to join our team in Sydney Olympic Park. This 12-month fixed-term contract will provide an exciting opportunity to lead and manage a team of 6 in end-to-end payroll.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of 6 in end-to-end payroll
- Process end-to-end payroll, including employee records and time and attendance systems
- Ensure timely processing of payroll in accordance with legislative, industrial, and company requirements
- Interpret multiple Enterprise Agreements (EAs) and Awards
- Support cyclical payroll activities and meet requirements
- Check and rectify any issues related to paying employers and liaise with the P&C team
- Process and reconcile superannuation, payroll tax, and other payments related to payroll
- Provide operational guidance and technical expertise on all payroll-related matters
- Quality and process improvements of payroll to enhance efficiencies
- Stay up-to-date with legislative changes and provide strategic advice on all payroll matters
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Manager with a minimum 5 years of work experience
- Ability to interpret and implement Awards, EAs, policies, and procedures
- Great stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- High-level attention to detail and numerical skills
- Customer-centric focus with a questioning mindset
- Self-motivated and proactive – strong problem solver and solutions-driven
- Strong understanding of payroll practices, legislation, and compliance
- Demonstrated effective time management and communication skills
