Position Overview:

In the role of Technician, you will be tasked with the upkeep and repair of equipment within client locations. Your responsibilities will encompass performing routine maintenance, diagnosing equipment issues, and ensuring adherence to applicable standards. This full-time position necessitates regular travel throughout Central Queensland, covering regions including but not limited to Mackay, Rockhampton, Gladstone, Bundaberg, Maryborough, Emerald, and Longreach. The work schedule is Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct scheduled maintenance, inspections, and calibration of equipment.
  2. Identify and rectify equipment malfunctions, executing necessary repairs.
  3. Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and calibration activities.
  4. Effectively communicate with clients regarding equipment conditions and repair timelines.
  5. Oversee inventory of parts, tools, and equipment essential for efficient repairs.
  6. Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory developments.
  7. Engage in training programs to enhance technical expertise.
  8. Comply with company policies, client protocols, and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

  1. At least 2 years of experience as a Technician or in a comparable role.
  2. Technical proficiency in the operation and maintenance of equipment.
  3. Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  4. Familiarity with industry standards and a commitment to compliance.
  5. Effective time management and multitasking capabilities.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Experience in inventory management is a plus.
  8. Willingness to travel as necessary and maintain a flexible schedule.
  9. Possession of a valid driver's license and full working rights in Australia.
  10. Commitment to ongoing learning and certification programs.
  11. Up-to-date vaccinations for COVID-19 and annual influenza.
