About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter to join our team at Field Mining Services Group. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy mining equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy mining equipment, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and mechanical components.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests to identify and rectify equipment issues.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure efficient and effective equipment maintenance.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize equipment availability.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and procedures.
Requirements
  • Relevant trade qualification in Diesel Fitting or a related field.
  • Proven experience working on heavy mining equipment, including diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
  • Coal Board Medical and Standard 11 Statement of Attainment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Uncompromising attitude to safety.
