Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter to join our team at Field Mining Services Group. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy mining equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy mining equipment, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and mechanical components.
- Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests to identify and rectify equipment issues.
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure efficient and effective equipment maintenance and repair.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and equipment performance.
- Relevant trade qualification in Diesel Fitting or a related field.
- Proven experience working on heavy mining equipment, including diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
- Coal Board Medical and Standard 11 Statement of Attainment.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with management and clients.
- Uncompromising attitude to safety, with a commitment to adhering to all relevant safety protocols and procedures.
