
Banking Reconciliations Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a positive customer experience by providing expert finance services, guidance, and advice
- Evaluate complex issues and escalate them to senior finance professionals or team leaders
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial data within the system, adhering to departmental delegations and ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant information
- Stay informed about financial payments, legislation, policies, and procedures, applying this knowledge to make informed decisions
- Conduct manual calculations and adjustments as needed
- Review bank statement load errors, post-processing errors, manually allocate receipts, create manual journals for incorrect postings from automated bank statements, and address additional requirements for banking reconciliations
- Support testing of system changes related to Banking settings or design
- Provide reconciliation support and ad-hoc information to stakeholders
- Maintain accurate reconciliations in accordance with accounting standards, departmental guidelines, and meet delivery timelines
About You:
- You will be able to maintain accuracy and provide timely service in a high-volume environment
- A customer-centric approach is essential in meeting Service Partnership Agreements
- You must maintain a working knowledge of legislative, policy, and procedural changes
- Collaboration with others on joint programs and projects is crucial
