The Westower Tavern, located on Kalinga St in West Ballina, is seeking a skilled Executive Culinary Director to lead its kitchen team.

About the Role

We are offering a competitive salary of $85,000 - $95,000 per annum, plus super and half-yearly bonus, for this exciting opportunity.

The successful candidate will be responsible for running the pass during busy service times, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of dishes that surpass guest expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Menu planning, inventory management, and food preparation
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment
  • Creating and managing staff rosters
  • Managing food safety and ensuring adherence to compliance and safety standards

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need previous experience working as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-volume establishment. You must have the ability to lead effective teams, build a positive culture, and possess extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
