Aviation Catering Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic Cook to join our busy catering unit at Melbourne Airport on a full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, assisting with the day-to-day operations of a kitchen team that values safety and excellence.

  • As a key member of our catering team, you will be responsible for food meal plating, tray set and packing of food carts, ensuring presentation/weight specifications are met.
  • You will also be required to follow menu specifications and comply with Food Safety/HACCP guidelines, maintain high standards of hygiene, and adhere to cleaning schedules.

Our ideal candidate will have experience working in a food environment, basic knife skills, fine motor skills, knowledge of HACCP/QSAI/Food Safety and OHS.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced food environment.
  • Basic knife skills and fine motor skills.
  • Knowledge of HACCP/QSAI/Food Safety and OHS principles.
  • Ability to work autonomously as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work across a 7-day rotating roster.
