As a seasoned civil engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our construction and renewable energy projects.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team. Reporting directly to the Design Manager, this role ensures the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering works meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

The successful candidate will collaborate with design teams, contractors, and project stakeholders to deliver civil engineering solutions that align with project specifications, budgets, and timelines.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and support to project teams.
  • Project Planning & Coordination: Develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
  • Site Supervision and Quality Control: Oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and reports, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with clients, designers, and contractors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Value Engineering and Innovation: Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements, implementing innovative solutions to enhance project delivery.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional accreditation (e.g., ICE membership, CEng status) is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in civil engineering roles within the construction or renewable energy sectors, specifically HV Cabling projects.
  • Strong track record of delivering civil engineering works on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Experience with site supervision and managing contractors is preferred.

  • Strong Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in civil engineering principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Civil Engineering Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant software.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail.
