This pivotal role embeds capital governance across the organization, integrating strategic oversight, project management excellence, and asset risk management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate annual capital budgeting processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and submit budgets for approval.
  • Develop and maintain five-year capital plans, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Oversee capital approval workflows, ensuring compliance with governance protocols and efficiency in the approvals process.
  • Provide commercial and financial insights throughout capital budgeting and project lifecycles.
  • Lead asset criticality reviews, including assessments, training, and integration into capital planning and maintenance strategies. Support local operations teams with annual updates.
  • Establish and enforce asset risk management standards, collaborating with subject matter experts.
  • Support project management and reporting for delivery teams.
  • Maintain and enhance project management tools and methodologies, providing training to teams.
  • Monitor capital spend against budget, identifying variances and managing associated risks.
  • Report on project and portfolio performance using key performance indicators and dashboards.
  • Facilitate post-project reviews, major project risk reviews, and lessons learned sessions.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is advantageous.
  • Professional certifications in project management are required.
  • Proven experience in capital governance, project management, and financial analysis within a manufacturing or building products environment.
  • Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes and asset maintenance philosophies.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to senior executives and stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications, including Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
