Program Officer Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Program Officer to play a critical role in the successful delivery of government programs and initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing project plans, coordinating project activities, and ensuring that project milestones and deadlines are met.

  • Develop detailed project plans outlining project objectives, timelines, resource requirements, and potential risks and issues.
  • Work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that project activities are aligned with the project plan.
  • Monitor project performance and track progress against project plans.
  • Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and ensuring spending remains within allocated limits.
  • Prepare regular status reports on project progress and communicate project status to sponsors and stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • Experience working in the government space - APS 5/6.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, organizing, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of government processes and procedures, as well as relevant legislation and policies.
