Senior Contracts Administrator Role Overview

Fulton Hogan is seeking a skilled Senior Contracts Administrator to join its Western Region Delivery Team.

  • This role involves overseeing the procurement and downstream pre/post contract management function for concurrent water infrastructure, and utilities projects across the western suburbs.

The successful candidate will report to the Contracts Manager and be responsible for managing cost control, preparing bills of quantities, sourcing subcontractors, and administering sub-contractor and client variation & EOT claims.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Understanding of all aspects of construction and utilities contracts and determining key areas of financial risk.
  2. Preparing bills of quantities and managing cost control.
  3. Sourcing appropriate subcontractors and ensuring favourable commercial terms are obtained in accordance with company protocols.
  4. Administrating sub-contractor and client variation & EOT claims.
  5. Dealing with sub-contractor and client payment claims.
  6. Liaising closely with the Utilities Manager, National Program Manager, Project Managers, and the project team.
  7. Ensuring monthly financial reporting requirements are met based on disciplined forecasting and tracking of revenue and costs.
  8. General commercial administration and document control.
Requirements:
  • Experience as a Contracts Administrator within the construction or utilities sectors.
  • Good working knowledge of forms of contract currently used within the construction/utilities industry.
  • Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or similar field (preferred).
  • Good IT skills with advanced skills in Excel and Word.
  • High level of personal motivation and commercial acumen.
  • Experience with JDE is an advantage, but not essential.
