About the Role

The Principal Building Surveyor is a key position at Central Coast Council, responsible for delivering high-quality development and building certification advice and customer service to the industry and general public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately and thoroughly assess development applications and perform all functions of a registered certifier.
  • Carry out critical stage inspections of building works for all classes of buildings.
  • Promote Council's role as a principal certifier and provide mentorship to building surveyors within the section.
  • Provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
Requirements
  • Degree qualification in building surveying, construction management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role, combined with ongoing professional development.
  • Current registration as a building surveyor (unrestricted) under the Building & Development Certifiers Act.
  • Current NSW Class C drivers' license.
