Job Opportunity

Risk advisory role focused on risk management and assurance.

About the Position

This is a part of the Risk & Legal team, working closely with Enterprise Risk, Internal Audit, and line 1 functions to provide oversight and subject matter expertise.

Main Objectives

  1. To ensure the quality of risk discussions is sufficient and influence when needed.
  2. To design risk and assurance change programs that embed desired behaviours in the business operating rhythm.
  3. To provide input into risk and assurance policies and frameworks.
  4. Oversight and challenge of major projects and BAU changes to ensure risk consideration.
  5. To identify emerging risks and elevate insights through executive and board-level reporting.
  6. To act as a liaison for training, education, and support between the business and specialist teams.

Required Skills

  • Extensive experience in compliance, operational risk, and audit roles, preferably in financial services or superannuation.
  • Previous experience in business partnering or stakeholder management, ideally in superannuation or financial services.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and influence appropriately.
  • Understanding of regulatory and legislative requirements and risk management frameworks.
  • Ability to balance commercial and strategic objectives with risk management.
