Cement Manufacturing Operations Manager

Cement Australia is seeking a skilled Team Leader to join its Gladstone site, the nation's largest and most respected cement manufacturing facility.
This leadership role involves providing task direction for the production dispatch process and collaborating with Production and Maintenance Team Leaders to achieve consistent business outcomes.
The ideal candidate will possess Cert III in Warehousing Operations or a related discipline, proven experience in a similar team leader/supervisory role, and high-level communication skills. They should also be able to foster a positive and engaged work environment, lead safety behaviors on site, and deliver the best possible outcomes.
About the Role:
- Assigning and monitoring daily tasks
- Coordinating planned maintenance tasks, including major shutdowns
- Organizing equipment maintenance and ensuring mobile plant equipment is maintained across the team
- Coordination and planning down day activities, including isolation plans
- Monitoring ship loading, truck loading, and weigh bridge performance
- Managing weekly plans for bagging shed and reporting variances
- Providing shift coverage and support for Shift team leader leave – when required
- Promoting taking initiative in SHEQ behaviors and challenging non-compliance
- Planning resources to identify hazards, manage risk, and report measures
- Leading and participating in SHE training
- Conducting toolbox talks, ensuring JSEA's are completed, and safety observations are undertaken routinely
About You:
- Cert III in Warehousing Operations or related discipline (advantageous)
- Proven experience in a similar team leader/supervisory role, within the manufacturing industry
- Cement manufacturing experience (advantageous)
- Demonstratable experience in leading safety behaviors on site
- High level of communication skills, including oral, written, and non-verbal
- Ability to foster a positive and engaged work environment
- High level of stakeholder skills, with a strong focus on delivering the best outcome possible
