About the Role
The Senior Coordinator, Monographs & Digital Collections is responsible for managing the acquisition, metadata, and access of resources. This role supports teaching, learning, and research at RMIT University and is responsible for 6 employees who acquire and process electronic and print one-time purchases, including subscription textbooks.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the acquisition, metadata, and access of resources to support teaching, learning, and research at RMIT University
- Oversee 6 employees who acquire and process electronic and print one-time purchases, including subscription textbooks
- Develop and implement strategies to improve collection acquisition and access
- Maintain high technical knowledge, including analytical skills, for collection acquisition and access
- Provide leadership and support to team members
About the Team
The RMIT University Library is a creative partner in the achievement of RMIT University's teaching, learning, and research strategic goals. It engages with other groups within the University to design initiatives that have a positive impact on the student experience, including the provision of direct support, peer mentoring facilitation, advice, and guidance for students' academic skill development.
The Library provides accessible and inclusive resources, services, and facilities to support the information needs of RMIT's large and globally distributed student and staff population and supplies expertise for the management of the University's archives and business information.
